Three individuals founded Starbase Technologies in January 1988 with 50 combined years of experience in the plastics industry. Starting with only five employees and currently employing 60, Starbase set out to become one of the top ten mold makers in the country, with respect to quality, technology driven product value, on time deliveries, and customer satisfaction.

Starbase specializes in custom manufactured molds, tooling, and mold bases for high volume disposables, cups, pour back spouts for detergent closures, caps, jars, vials, pen parts, aerosol actuators, medical parts, and long running solid block molds. 

In 1993, Starbase moved to its current 45,000 square foot location at 343 Pecks Road.  Pittsfield offers a small town New England flavor along with a place from which to do business globally.  In 1999, we enlarged our facility again by converting an adjacent building to our Tech Center.

In 1998 Starbase Technologies became registered as a ISO 9001 certified manufacturer and in July 2003 were awarded the ISO 9001:2000 certification.
